Techniques used to Identify Hair and Fiber

Microscopy is a technique used to identify both hair and fiber. First you get a slide and a place holder. Then you wet mount it so that the hair or fiber will stay. then examine under the microscope. The image of the hair or fiber will tell you what kind it is, like whether it a dog, cat, human, cotton , wool, etc.
